BCL Legal is working with a UK Top 50 law firm on an exciting opportunity for an Associate Solicitor to join their market-leading Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.
The firm's full-service practice advises a diverse client base, including businesses, government entities, and individuals, both nationally and internationally, across four core areas: property, corporate services, litigation, and private client advisory.

The CLDR team, which consists of over 30 lawyers, represents a wide range of clients, from high-net-worth individuals to multinational corporations. The team is renowned for providing expert advice on high-stakes commercial disputes, including those involving the High Court, Court of Appeal, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. The team works alongside leading junior and senior counsel from top commercial chambers and has a track record of success in complex disputes. The team is routinely ranked in the top tier by the Legal 500 and Chambers, with interviewees praising their "top-of-the-game" litigation expertise.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding team dealing with high-quality work. Due to growth, the firm is looking for an Associate Solicitor with 2-5 years PQE to manage a diverse caseload and support the ongoing development of the team.
The role will be based primarily in Ipswich, but Essex will also be considered, with weekly travel to Ipswich. Travel expenses will be covered by the firm.
Key Responsibilities- Managing and running client files
- Building and nurturing client relationships
- Assisting senior team members with complex cases
- Using document management, CRM, and time recording systems
- Contributing to business development initiatives, including writing articles and attending networking events
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and an interest in commercial disputes, including shareholder disputes and the enforcement of restrictive covenants. A keen attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and a commercially astute mindset are essential. The successful applicant will be client-focused, with a strong aptitude for business development and a proactive approach to their career growth.
