COMMERCIAL MANAGER

The opportunity has now arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team based at our head office in London.

Key duties will include:

1. Manage all commercial aspects of the Project.
2. Manage and support the project's commercial team.
3. Ensure appropriate contractual and commercial protection is in place for the project.
4. Preparation & management of the project budget.
5. Procurement of subcontractors and agreement of subcontract conditions.
6. Commercial control of subcontract packages.
7. Value and agree the cost of any variations.
8. Prepare cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports on each assigned project.
9. Maintain working relationships with the client and project team.
10. Provide contractual advice to the Project Director/Contracts Director.
11. Assist the Estimating team with pre-tender activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

5+ years experience in a senior commercial role within a contracting environment, preferably fit-out, and a third level qualification in a Quantity Surveying or Construction related subject. Membership of RICS is desirable. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with strong leadership and people management skills and the ability to negotiate and influence.
