Location: Flexible, with a minimum of one day per week (Tuesdays) in our Blackhorse Road E17 office. The role will require frequent travel within London (and occasionally beyond) to meet with local communities.
Salary: £29,000 (£17,400 pro rata).
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (can be spread over 3-5 days).
Contract: One-year fixed term contract, preferred start date of April (negotiable).
We're looking for an enthusiastic and creative Community Engagement Officer to help us grow and nurture our vibrant community. If you're passionate about the idea of building authentic relationships (both online and in person), creating inspiring content, and engaging with a diverse range of people, this could be the perfect role for you!
As our Community Engagement Officer, you'll be a vital ambassador for The Together Project, connecting us with communities and spreading the word about our impactful programmes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Social media management: Running our channels, creating compelling content, and amplifying our message to reach new audiences.
- Community outreach: Engaging with parents/guardians, care settings, older adults, and other service user groups to grow our network and promote our programmes.
- Building partnerships: Proactively establishing links and maintaining great relationships with community groups, non-profits, local authorities, and other potential partners. While much of the role will focus on London-based activities, you'll also support our national presence, ensuring our work makes an impact across the UK.
