Compliance Officer

Nexeo is looking for a Medior Compliance Officer for a leading financial institution in Belgium.

Nexeo is a consulting firm specializing in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors. We support our clients at every stage of their transformation projects, from strategic consulting to the implementation of IT solutions.

Your role as a Medior Compliance Officer:

You will play a key role in ensuring the organization complies with legal regulations and ethical standards.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring national and international regulatory developments and translating them into internal procedures and guidelines.
• Ensuring compliance with established procedures and policies.
• Advising branch networks, central services, and local compliance functions.
• Raising awareness and training employees on compliance matters.
• Acting as a key contact for compliance-related inquiries and whistleblowing cases.
• Preparing compliance reports and ensuring follow-up on recommendations.
• Participating in board meetings and reporting to senior management.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Degree in Law or a related field.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in the financial sector.
• Certification: FSMA Certification (Mandatory - only certified candidates will be considered).
• Languages: Fluency in Dutch, English, and French.
• Skills:Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Decision-making skills and a process-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently while being a team player.
