Compliance Team Leader/People Manager, Charity based in Birmingham, office based, Temp to perm

Your new company
You will be working for a well-known charity based in Birmingham who support the wellbeing of communities and work towards transforming the lives of young people and adults. This incredible charity have extensive experience within this field and are looking to develop an important Compliance team.
Your new role
As Compliance Team Leader, your main goal at the beginning of this role will be to coach, develop, train and grow your team. You will be a hands-on team leader and the majority of your time will be spent with management of team members/heavy people management. Once the team are fully trained, you will then transition into more process management. Once staff are developed, you will have the responsibility of hands-on compliance whilst managing a wider team of administrators and coordinators. You will play a critical business role within the organisation. You will oversee compliance certification and ensure organisation and management of information is handled correctly and to a high standard. Within your role, you will maintain databases, ensure complete accuracy of information entered by your team and distribute regular reports. As a leader within the business, you will need to monitor KPIs and support senior management in ensuring everything is achieved.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have a combination of people management experience and work within compliance. You must be happy at the start of this journey to be people-management focused, so having experience of managing a team is crucial. You must be a proven leader and lead from the front in all compliance management you do. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to use Excel and database to a high standard. This role requires an immediate start on a temporary to permanent basis. You will be based fully on site in Birmingham, with no hybrid working.
