About the Role

We're looking for a talented Computer Vision Engineer to join our advanced engineering team in Kortrijk, working on next-generation aviation technologies.


You'll be developing real-time vision systems that enhance safety, navigation, and automation in aircraft and aerospace platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement real-time computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, and situational awareness in aviation applications.
  • Develop software modules for vision-based systems used in cockpit assistance, runway monitoring, and onboard intelligence.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineers to integrate your solutions into aerospace platforms.
  • Evaluate algorithm performance under varied environmental and operational conditions.
  • Optimize code for real-time performance and deployability in embedded or rugged systems.
  • Contribute to system validation, documentation, and certification support in line with aviation standards.


Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong programming experience with C++ (modern standards: C+/14/17)
  • Proficiency in OpenCV and other computer vision libraries
  • Deep understanding of object detection, object tracking, and real-time image processing
  • Experience working on embedded or edge computing platforms
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations, system safety, or DO-178C is a plus
  • Exposure to sensor fusion (e.g., cameras + radar or LiDAR) is an advantage
  • Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
