Construction and Projects Lawyer - City of London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join the construction and projects team of a boutique international law firm in London. This firm has a strong reputation for advising on some of the most high-profile and complex infrastructure and construction projects across the globe.

This role focuses on front-end construction law, providing transactional and contractual advice to clients across a range of sectors. The successful candidate will work with a market-leading team, advising on procurement strategies, engineering and construction contracts, and project agreements.

Key responsibilities include:

- Advising on procurement routes and contract structuring.
- Drafting and negotiating engineering and construction documentation, including consultants' appointments, building contracts, collateral warranties, third-party rights, and security documentation.
- Advising on joint venture agreements, PFI and PPP documentation, and alliance agreements.
- Acting for a diverse client base, including contractors, developers, construction professionals, operators, investors, and insurers.
- Assisting with business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

About You:

- At least 7 years' PQE with strong experience in front-end construction law (either in private practice or in-house).
- A solid understanding of procurement strategies and project structuring.
- Experience working on complex, high-value projects, ideally with an international dimension.
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills.
- An existing network of industry contacts would be advantageous.
