Consultant Clinical Oncologist - LONDON

Are you keen to be within a commutable distance from London and have the opportunity to experience a rural lifestyle? If so, this is the perfect role for you! Our client based in north-east London is looking for a Consultant who specialises in Clinical Oncology to join their team.

This is a substantive post and the successful candidate will join a team of 12 Oncologists supported by 3 Specialty Doctors & 4 clinical Oncology SPRs. They will be expected to cover Urology and CNS malignancies and work as an integrated member of the Oncology team.

This department serves a population of approximately 750,000. The Radiotherapy department boasts cutting edge technology with a Halcyon Unit, a stereotactic enabled Edge and they now offer our patients adaptive radiotherapy via an ETHOS unit. All treatments are image guided.

1. Full GMC Registration with License to Practice (ESSENTIAL)
2. Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or within six months of interview.
3. FRCR (Clinical Oncology)
4. Expertise in site specialty field
5. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team of Surgeons, Medics, Allied Health professionals and Nurses
6. Ability to contribute to effective multi-disciplinary team working within the acute Trust
7. Ability to respond and cope with setbacks and pressure

The trust has a large and well-staffed research unit and the post holder will be expected to be actively engaged in clinical trials.
