Posted 5 days 10 hours ago by Severn Trent Water
Want to do the best work of your life? Playing your part in making a big difference to the environment and communities we serve?
Our people make Severn Trent a truly exciting and inclusive place to work - a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine.
Our purpose is taking care of life's essentials, but we're also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care.
Which is why we are investing over £3billion into waste treatment construction projects over the next five years to improve the services we provide.
We have a brilliant opportunity to join our Capital and Commercial Services directorate as a Consultant Project Manager in our Waste Treatment Design Team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to be responsible for the delivery of the Consultant led Major Projects and Bio-resources design programme.
You will play a key role in leading and managing the project team and project lifecycle (from business case approval to outline design completion) ensuring all project deliverables are achieved on time, within cost and to agreed quality standards.
You will perform the role of NEC Service Manager (or elements of it) when delegated by the Design Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Ideally either degree qualified in a technical engineering discipline or a qualified Project Manager with the APM (Association of Project Managers) or working towards completing these achievements. You will be a forward thinking and innovative project manager capable of managing multiple complex engineering design projects. You will also have experience of managing NEC projects.
You will be a dynamic and collaborative leader with excellent communication and influencing skills. You will have a strong ability to build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, and hold a relentless drive for continuous improvement, with the ability to innovate and anticipate unexpected issues and challenges as they arise.
Of course, it's important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care because when you really care, you'll go above and beyond. When you really care you don't just talk about it, you do more.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.
And when it comes to inclusion, we're making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups - LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity, who help us do just that.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
Working here isn't just a job. You can build a career at Severn Trent. We'll reward you for it, too. We have a range of benefits that recognise great work, and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. And we'll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the communities where we live.
