Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to cover 17 beds in our Acute service, covering Robin and Swan wards.

The role will be working with male and female patients. You will fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients from admission to discharge with the support of a skilled and motivated MDT.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a well-established and cohesive team of medics which includes: Medical Director, Consultant Psychiatrist, Specialty Doctors, Registered Medical Officers, and Aston University Medical Students.

Job responsibilities

Lakeside View is a 30-bedded hospital in Willenhall that cares for patients who are 18 years and over in an acute setting:

1. Finch Ward - 13 bedded male acute ward
2. Robin Ward - 8 bedded male acute ward
3. Swan Ward - 9 bedded female acute ward

All of our beds are contracted to the local Birmingham NHS Trust with whom we have excellent working relationships.
