Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist has become available within one of the UK's leading Addiction Services.

Purpose of the Consultant Psychiatrist

1. The post-holder will be the Clinical Lead for the service.
2. They will provide leadership, expert advice, and direction to ensure that service users consistently receive high-quality services that adhere to best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards.
3. They will be part of the Senior Management Team and expected to contribute to the overall performance of the service to ensure that contractual output targets are achieved.
4. They will record and input client data and information to ensure the service operates within contractual, administrative, and financial requirements.
5. The post-holder will provide regular clinical input through conducting specialist clinics that offer assessment and evidence-based treatment interventions.
6. They will work flexibly across operational sites as specified in the service delivery model and within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. This may include some evening and weekend working as determined by service user need.
7. The post-holder will be expected to take responsibility for personal development, identifying personal training needs, and participating in regular supervision and appraisal.
8. They are required to engage fully in the process for revalidation.

Requirements

1. Medical Degree & Completion of Basic Medical Training
2. Full GMC - UK Registration with License to Practice
3. MRCPsych or Equivalent Qualification
4. Consultant Psychiatrist on the GMC Specialist Register with an Endorsement in Substance Misuse
5. Demonstrable Experience of Leading a Multi-Disciplinary Team
6. Application of Evidence-Based Practice
7. Clinical Auditing Skills and Ability to Identify Areas for Development
