The Opportunity
This is a key role within a newly established team that partners with major players in the Corporate and Investment Banking space, supporting them through complex change initiatives - often driven by evolving regulations and strategic transformation needs. You'll take the lead on delivering these programmes end to end, while also having space to contribute to the wider growth of the consultancy itself.
What you'll be doing:
- Working alongside multidisciplinary teams to uncover opportunities for ongoing business performance improvements.
- Proactively managing risks that could impact delivery and using your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to keep everything on track.
- Bringing a balance of delivery focus and strategic input - getting the fundamentals right while also looking at how the team can go above and beyond for clients.
- Acting as a hands-on leader - supporting strategic direction, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to a collaborative, values-driven team culture.
- Taking ownership of delivery on client projects, often in fast-paced and highly regulated environments.
There's also the opportunity to shape and grow both the business and your own career by getting involved in wider initiatives such as:
- Client Engagement - Supporting pitches, RFPs and business development efforts; contributing to propositions and attending industry-facing events.
- Internal Development - Involvement in internal campaigns, thought leadership, and team-wide initiatives (from recruitment to internal ops).
- Professional Growth - Access to structured learning, certifications, and training aligned with both your role and the future needs of the practice.
About You
You'll bring a solid foundation in Corporate and Investment Banking, with experience that spans across different asset classes, products, and regulatory landscapes. Ideally, your background blends time spent in both consulting environments and in-house roles within the financial services industry.
We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate some of the following:
- Hands-on experience delivering large-scale regulatory programmes within the CIB space - examples might include Basel III, FRTB, DORA, operational resilience, or market conduct regulations - across front-to-back office functions.
- Familiarity with areas such as wholesale lending and transaction banking.
- The ability to help clients shape long-term strategic plans, particularly with an eye on emerging technologies like cloud, AI, DLT, Web3, and digital assets.
- A clear understanding of control frameworks (e.g. 3 lines of defence) and how these apply across the trade lifecycle.
- Exposure to ESG topics is a definite plus.
- Leadership experience - including managing teams, mentoring others, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- A track record of supporting proposition development and contributing to go-to-market or sales initiatives.
A blend of consulting and industry experience is preferred - we're looking for individuals who can flex between delivery and strategy, with an ability to operate credibly in front of both technical and senior client stakeholders.
