Role Requirements

Shift: Full-Time

Pay rate: £140 per hour

Days of Shift: Monday-Friday

Time for Shift: 09:00-17:00

Duties:

• Job Summary: Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals accessing mental health services through a centralized point of entry. The role involves clinical leadership and decision-making, ensuring timely access to appropriate care for patients, liaising with other health professionals, and maintaining high standards of mental health care delivery.
• Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate diagnoses for individuals seeking psychiatric care. Provide expert clinical judgment to prioritize care based on urgency and complexity. Ensure effective management of risk, including crisis management and safeguarding concerns.
• Clinical Leadership and Decision-Making: Lead clinical decision-making in the Single Point of Access, ensuring the correct pathway is followed for mental health referrals. Provide consultation and guidance to other healthcare professionals in triaging and assessing patients' needs. Ensure high standards of clinical care are maintained across all aspects of the service.
• Care Planning and Treatment: Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Prescribe appropriate medication and therapies where indicated, monitoring for efficacy and side effects. Offer specialist advice on complex mental health conditions and their management.

Requirements: AC not essential, but good experience is essential. DE only.
