Salary: £24,300 - £29,800 plus London Weighting - depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

Contract type: 6-month attachment/ fixed term contract

Job Introduction

The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. Every summer, we run over a hundred live events over two months at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues across the UK. We are looking for a Content Assistant to join the Business Team. The successful candidate will work with a wide range of people, from artists to various BBC departments. The main duty will be administering complimentary and promoter tickets, along with other tasks as informed by the Business Coordinator.

Main Responsibilities

The Content Assistant will provide comprehensive support to managers and team members, covering a broad range of administrative tasks, including:

  • Administering complimentary and promoter tickets.
  • Liaising with internal and external contacts including the Royal Albert Hall and various stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate spreadsheets of tickets and financial information.
  • Confirming ticket requirements with the Royal Albert Hall Box Office.
  • Managing internal orders for concert programmes.
  • Assisting in front-of-house work, e.g., press duty.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable forward planning and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work using initiative in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Docs, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Able to cope under pressure with a demanding workload.
  • Experience of working in an administrative role.
  • A commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for all backgrounds.
  • Experience in music and live events is desirable but not essential.
