ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

As Contract Manager, you will ensure the full delivery of all Customer Contracts within contractual guidelines, through target-driven performance requirements and structured review meetings. You will work closely with the onsite engineering team and client to provide overall efficiencies and profitability with no aged debt and a strong management and understanding of WIP. You will foster strong customer relationships through existing and new business opportunities and work under the guidance of your direct line manager to provide support as and when required.
Your primary objective will be to establish strong client relationships and ensure all mobilisation actions are completed efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track, identify and develop new opportunities, generating sales as per your individual target.
- Excellent planning, change, and time management capabilities.
- Ensure all opportunities are responded to in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Work closely with the Business Development team to share relationships/cross-sell.
- Effective ongoing and structured management of the management and supervisory team, including goal setting & objective planning.
- Ongoing Health and Safety reviews across contract portfolio.
- Leadership ability and mentoring of key technical staff.
- Holding and execution of Probationary/Disciplinary hearings.
- Analytical reporting of portfolio performance.
- Monthly/annual reporting performance of portfolio fiscal performance.
- Technical Support to engineering team.
- Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently.
- Lead the mobilisation, re-mobilisation, and de-mobilisation of contracts.
- Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring all mobilisation actions are completed on time.
- Coordinate with internal business support departments throughout the process.
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed within budget and agreed timeframes.
- Chair weekly meetings/calls with the operations team and clients, providing progress updates and sharing the mobilisation plan.
- Ensure all sites have essential company documentation from day one.
- Manage administrative tasks, including compiling asset registers, printing H&S documentation, and setting up PPM planners.
- Provide training and support to sites on business processes and procedures.
- Review tender/contract scope of work and develop a retention strategy.
- Lead 90-day review meetings post-contract start date and attend annual contract reviews as needed.
- Identify and mitigate risks or challenges that could impact successful contract delivery.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Technical background in M&E Industry.
- Proven successful working relationships with high-end service providers.
- Self-motivated with decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership qualities across all levels of the business.
- Commercial awareness & business acumen.
- Strong communicator and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in IT Skills - MS Office, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge of the market and current trends.
- Awareness of ISO9001, 50001 quality management standards.
- Planning and organisation skills.
- Strong oral & written communication skills.
- Experience in mobilisation/project management within the Facilities Management industry.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across different locations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
- High attention to detail and ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Flexibility to travel within the business operational area at short notice.
- Resilience and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of sustainability matters.
- HVAP15.
- Familiarity with Smart Sheet for use with mobilisation.
