Job Description

Joining an internationally renowned business, this role focuses on Contract Management for Power Projects across the US and Canada.

The Contract Manager will oversee contract management for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with commercial obligations, mitigating risks, and optimizing financial outcomes. Working closely with Project Managers, this role involves managing risk registers, standardizing correspondence, and supporting claim management to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct initial and recurring contract reviews with project teams to ensure understanding of scope, milestones, guarantees, liabilities, and reporting requirements.
  2. Maintain and update project risk registers to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
  3. Document potential liabilities (e.g., liquidated damages, performance shortfalls) and assess financial impacts.
  4. Develop and update project schedules to track critical milestones and performance against baseline requirements.
  5. Support claim management by coordinating correspondence and work history tracking to defend against claims effectively.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop financial recovery strategies for project impacts caused by external factors.
  7. Identify opportunities to improve contract standards, templates, and reporting processes.
  8. Ensure compliance with EHS policies and maintain high ethical standards.
  9. Maintain readiness for domestic/international travel (10-25% annually).
Key Skills & Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Law degree preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum 6 years in contract management or related roles.
  3. Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with SAP and project scheduling tools.
  4. Knowledge: Understanding of contract law, risk assessment, financial analysis, and technical procedures.
