Job Opportunity: Contract Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for a Contract Officer to join the Commissioning and Contracts Team, based within Children and Family Services. You will have responsibility for the contract management of a range of externally commissioned 16+ Supported Accommodation placements. A key focus of this role will be to support providers to meet Ofsted national quality standards for providers of supported accommodation for looked after children and care leavers aged 16 and 17.

You will have a high level of personal drive, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a range of stakeholders. Experience of developing and managing contracts and the ability to understand contractual terms and conditions is essential to the role, along with knowledge and understanding of the principles relating to customer care, budget management, commissioning and procurement, and data management.

You will plan and deliver an annual programme of reviews of contracts and take action where necessary to drive service improvements. You will also design services and create service specifications.

Please note there is a duty element to this role.
