Job Description

One of our amazing finance team members is off to explore pastures new, and we're looking for someone equally incredible to join our team of four dedicated credit controllers. You'll take charge of your own customer portfolio and be at the heart of keeping things running smoothly.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Ensuring customers are clear on payment terms and credit limits.
  • Maintaining and enhancing our Customer Portal to keep us ahead of the game.
  • Collaborating with the Sales Team to resolve payment issues.
  • Introducing and managing credit checks for new and existing customers.
  • Proactively chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and letter.
  • Keeping accurate records of all credit control activities.
  • Building strong relationships with customers to manage and recover debts.
  • Meeting monthly processing deadlines with precision and efficiency.
  • Sending out monthly client statements and letters.
  • Resolving customer disputes quickly and effectively.
  • Handling account reconciliations and issuing credit notes.
  • Reviewing and improving our debt recovery procedures.
  • Managing daily banking and allocations on customer accounts.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Recent previous experience in a Credit Control role.
  • Excellent communication skills - with both customers and colleagues.
  • Confidence and resilience - to make decisions and perform under pressure.
  • Analytical mindset - for interpreting data and solving problems.
  • Negotiation prowess - building rapport and resolving issues with a smile.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Time management and organizational skills - to stay on top of your game.
