Job Description

Purpose of Job

To work as part of a team assisting in providing an efficient and accurate accounts and credit control service to the firm.

Accountabilities
  1. Use debtors reporting to effectively manage and chase aged debt.
  2. Monitor and update Collections module with case information.
  3. Send monthly credit control statements to clients.
  4. Send reminder letters to clients.
  5. Assist Credit Control Manager to provide regular progress reports to Financial Controller and Finance Director.
  6. Successfully resolve queries from fee earners, secretaries, client financial administrators and clients regarding bills raised.
  7. Work with Debt Recovery Team to help escalate cases that require further debt management.
  8. Work effectively with accounts team to allocate payments.
  9. Process credit card payments from clients.
  10. Ensure that own knowledge and skills are kept up-to-date and request training where necessary.
Qualifications/Experience
  1. A-level or equivalent, including maths at Grade A-C.
  2. Proven experience of working in an Accounts department.
Skills
  1. Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel.
  2. Good organisation and administrative skills.
  3. Accuracy and attention to detail.
  4. Ability to effectively prioritise.
