Role: Credit Controller

Location: Yate - 2 days office based/3 days remote

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our UK Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of our operations. As a Credit Controller, you'll be a key player in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. You'll collaborate with clients and internal teams, making a real impact on the company's success.

What will you be doing as our Credit Controller?

  • Reconciliations: Daily receipt reconciliation from banks, maintaining accurate records of customer accounts.
  • Invoice Processing: Creating invoices and issuing statements to customers and tracking progress.
  • Customer Communication: Dealing with customer queries/credits and following up with customers to manage outstanding invoices. Following up on overdue payments via telephone, and email.
  • Customer credit checks: Carrying out credit checks on new and existing customers as required.
  • Reporting: Month end preparation of accounts receivable reports
  • General Administration: Updating and maintaining debtor information on the finance system. Collaborating with sales representatives and other departments to resolve queries and payment issues.

What we are looking for in our Credit Controller:

  • Prior Credit Control experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, organisation and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with data entry and analysis.
  • Prior experience with an ERP system (ideally NetSuite).
  • Proactive and solutions focussed.
