We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist who is customer-oriented, proactive, and a team player to join us in our Customer Service team, based in our Mechelen office in Belgium.


About the role

You will be working in a team that is dedicated to providing exceptional products and services, ensuring utmost customer satisfaction. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for the full follow-up of shipments ordered by our customers, optimizing timelines and quality of delivery, and providing all required shipping documentation.


What you'll do

  • Be the first contact for our customers
  • Prepare and follow up on the delivery flow of orders with agreed partners
  • Coordinate the issuance of correct shipping documents to customers
  • Handle logistics topics, including arranging transports via sea, air, and truck
  • Keep customers and Sales Responsible informed about the status of orders, shipments, and delivery details
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
  • Collaborate with team members to improve overall customer service processes and standards
  • Identify and solve issues with colleagues and other departments


What you'll need

  • At least 1 year of experience in shipping documentation, logistics, and/or customs
  • Accuracy and precision in administration
  • Customer-oriented and commercial attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Problem-solving skills with a process-oriented approach
  • Proactive and initiative-taking
  • Team player with a positive attitude, open-minded, and willing to learn and grow
  • Strong MS Office skills; experience with SAP is an asset
  • Fluent in English; any other language is a plus
