Customer Solutions Design Specialist/Inside Contract/Bristol

I am seeking a Customer Solutions Design Specialist to work within a secure UK design practice, collaborating with clients and internal teams. You will engage with key stakeholders and external technology providers.

Using structured ICT architecture frameworks, security principles, and industry best practices, you will design Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) solutions that align with business needs while ensuring compliance and security.

You will work alongside architects, designers, and analysts, contributing your expertise to deliver secure and innovative solutions for sensitive projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and translate customer requirements into solution designs.
• Define optimal technical solutions and advise on direction.
• Review and validate new and existing product and service designs.
• Improve solution design and delivery capabilities.
• Develop statements of work, including third-party deliverables.
• Build strong relationships to influence service strategies.
• Ensure consistency in architecture and technical processes.
• Plan and implement customer migration activities.
• Conduct impact assessments and update design documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex service issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Identify risks and ensure compliance measures.
• Provide thought leadership in bids and strategic solution designs.
• Mentor junior designers and share insights on emerging trends.

Skills & Experience

• Essesntial UKSV Developed Vetting clearance.
• Experience in on-premise and cloud-based UCC technologies:
• Fixed voice telecoms (PBX, VoIP/IPT, SIP)
• Enterprise mobility (4G/5G, EMM, MDM)
• PaaS, SaaS telecom solutions
• Knowledge of vendor solutions (Cisco, Juniper, Ericsson, Nokia, F5, Palo Alto).
• Hands-on experience in designing and deploying UCC technologies.
• Strong commercial awareness for CAPEX/OPEX assessment.
• Proven experience in risk mitigation and problem-solving for UCC solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technologies to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working within secure government environments.
• Knowledge of HMG MoD compliance and security policies is advantageous.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
