Data Architect

Right now, we're looking for Sr Data Architect to join our team at Globant!

You will operate as a lead for the adoption, design, implementation and integration of cloud solutions with a particular focus on GCP and API/Microservices Front-end architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Define Guardrails and Patterns
• Participate in design and automation of cloud solutions
• Lead the design and building of the pillars of a data platform and data products through example.
• Experience in building data platforms from scratch instead of using out-of-the-box solutions like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Expert in using DWH tools in GCP and knowing them in depth.
• Develop and maintain data architecture plans aligned with business and IT strategies
• Lead the creation of reusable patterns and standards to accelerate the delivery of business products
• Collaborate with Data Platform Architects, Data Governance Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability of cloud platforms
• Ensure cloud platforms integrate seamlessly across different providers
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions on Google Cloud Platform
• Experience implementing microservices and API Gateways.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Kafka, or Pub/Sub in the GCP domain.
• Knowledge of Big Data Warehouses such as BigQuery or RedShift.
