What's the role about?
This organisation is committed to strengthening relationships with their supporters and delivering the highest standards of data management. The Data Delivery Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of Supporter System operations. This role will support the transition from the existing CRM system, CareNG, to Microsoft Dynamics 365, while managing third-party data providers to ensure compliance, data quality, and operational excellence.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the supporting applications that facilitate the daily flow of data into and out of the supporter database, acting as the guardian of the organisation's data's quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CRM Product Owner and internal/external stakeholders to design processes that improve efficiency, data quality, and cost-effectiveness, with a focus on transitioning to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement, including research, innovation, and process refinement.
- Analyse data imports and exports within our primary supporter database to generate insights that drive prioritisation, reduce complexity, and establish baseline metrics for data quality and supplier performance.
- Provide leadership for training new users, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), and troubleshooting technical issues related to product enhancements and upgrades.
- Ensure timely execution of income-critical operations, such as Direct Debit processing, Gift Aid claims, and daily data flows.
- Strategically plan, delegate, and manage tasks for the Data Support Engineers to nurture skills, enable succession planning, and foster individual development.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of systems, processes, and third-party suppliers to ensure operational excellence and adherence to quality standards.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Proficiency in data management principles, batch data processing, scheduling, testing, and quality assurance techniques.
- Strong knowledge of data-related legislation, including data protection, HMRC Gift Aid regulations, Direct Debit, and PCI compliance, ideally within a not-for-profit context.
- Proven track record of leading a data processing team and managing intricate job processes involving multiple sources and clients.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, capable of fostering a high-performing team and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including working knowledge of its framework and platform.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (or a willingness to achieve them) to support the role.
- Understanding of how CRM systems integrate within wider organisational infrastructures.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience with Advanced Business Solutions CareNG CRM.
- Knowledge of relational database tools (eg, Microsoft SQL Server) and job management or scheduling software.
- Experience monitoring and improving supplier performance.
- Practical experience with Dynamics 365 CRM development, Power Apps, and Power Platform.
- Hands-on experience in Legacy CRM migrations to Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with programming languages (eg, C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and Azure integration tools.
- Knowledge of Azure or other cloud technologies.
- Experience with Agile project methodologies and Azure DevOps for code and requirement management.
