Role Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team in Antwerp. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities


  • Design and Develop scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data.
  • Implement and Optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our data operations.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
  • Maintain and Monitor data systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Integrity through best practices and effective data management techniques.
  • Stay Updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and propose innovative solutions to improve our data infrastructure.


Essential Skills and Tools


  • Proven Experience in data engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
  • Proficiency in Programming Languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their data services.
  • Experience with ETL Tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, AWS Glue, Talend).
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts and tools like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Understanding of Data Modeling and Database Design.
  • Experience with Version Control Systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong Communication Skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Containerization Technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning and Data Science Workflows.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering are a plus.
