Data Engineer (Low-code tools, SQL,Python,ETL)

We are looking for two Senior Data Engineers to provide advanced services in the development of specialised data integration and data transformation processes, such as database processing and the creation of advanced visualisations.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand business needs and user requirements and work with stakeholders to define relevant metrics and KPIs.

Design and build effective and efficient data models, creating relationships between different tables and establishing hierarchies, and optimise the model to ensure adequate performance.

Use low-code tools (preferably Python) to cleanse, transform and load data from different sources.

Perform extract, transform and load (ETL) to ensure data is in the correct format for analysis.

Knowledge of SQL and databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) to extract and manipulate data from relational databases and optimise queries to improve report performance.

Develop reports and dashboards:

o Create interactive visualisations and dashboards in Power BI.

o Use charts, tables, maps and other visual elements to present data clearly and concisely.

o Implement advanced features such as drill-through, slicers, and bookmarks to improve report usability.

Data Management:

o Develop and maintain efficient ETL processes to extract, transform and load data.

o Ensure data integrity, quality and accuracy throughout the ETL process.

o Implement coding best practices to optimise performance and scalability.

o Design and develop data quality control and validation mechanisms.

o Develop automated scripts and procedures to execute and manage ETL processes, developing automation solutions for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Work closely with other developers, data analysts and IT teams.

Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in ETL and Big Data and propose and implement continuous improvements to ETL processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Additional skills required

Academic/certification Requirements:

Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar or Business Informatics or similar.

Training in Business Intelligence (BI)

Certifications in technologies related to BI and data analysis (is a plus).

Its preferred as an Hibrid position (1 or 2 days working in an office environment) BUT REMOTE WORK

acceptable for the RIGHT candidate.

Fluency in written and oral communication in Spanish or Portuguese besides English is Mandatory
