Job Description

Data Protection Consultant UK Remote Part time £60,000-£70,000 Pro Rata

Locke & McCloud are working with one of the top 10 Consultancy firms within the UK, they are looking for a Data Protection Consultant to come in and support their clients with Data protection/privacy services. They offer a wide range of professional services such as auditing and accounting.

You get to be part of a small team of 15, whilst being an important part of a larger group of 900 employees all striving to make the business even more successful than they already are.

Job details:
  1. Be the go-to expert for clients, providing tailored advice on UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, and international privacy laws.
  2. Develop and implement data protection policies that keep organisations compliant and secure.
  3. Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and advise on risk mitigation.
  4. Conduct audits, risk assessments, and privacy impact evaluations to ensure best practices.
  5. Deliver engaging training sessions that empower businesses to protect personal data effectively.
  6. Support clients with data breaches, subject access requests, and supplier agreements.
  7. Lead compliance projects and contribute to thought leadership in the field.
Relevant experience:
  1. 3+ years in a data protection role.
  2. A recognised qualification (CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent).
  3. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable steps.
  4. Ideally, have client-facing experience working with multiple stakeholders from different businesses.
  5. Excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  6. Experience with CRM systems and project management tools (bonus points for Trello or Jira!).
