At Philips Cardiologs, we're transforming cardiac care by leveraging medical-grade AI and cloud technology. Our flagship product, the Cardiologs Holter platform, is a leading software for analyzing ambulatory ECGs, helping to diagnose over 2 million patients annually. As part of the Philips portfolio, we offer scalable access to comprehensive care pathways.

We're also venturing into biomarkers, developing predictive models to detect future cardiac issues and drive predictive medicine. In our results-driven, collaborative environment, the Data Science team, with up to 20 members across two groups, works on both production and exploration projects. We seek an experienced leader to guide the data science vision, grow the team, and define a successful innovation roadmap for Cardiologs.

Your role:

In this role, you will have two important roles: first, serving as a technical expert in the data science domain, offering guidance and support to the team; and second, leading the Data Science department, which consists of up to 20 team members. We are seeking a strategic leader who can drive change and make a significant impact within the leadership team.

What You'll Do:

1. Define and drive the vision for the Data Science department.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders at Cardiologs and Philips to explore future opportunities.
3. Oversee coordination across various Data Science teams.
4. Manage and mentor data scientists, helping them achieve their full potential.
5. Ensure the Data Science department delivers high-quality products and results.
6. Scout for public funding opportunities and support the team in defining and executing public-private partnerships.

Who You Are: We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated professional with:

1. A Ph.D. or MSc in a relevant scientific field.
2. 10+ years of experience in machine learning, including at least 3 years in deep learning applied to medical devices (FDA experience is a plus).
3. Proven management experience.
4. Exceptional communication skills.
5. Proficiency in English, with basic knowledge of French.
