Database Administrator (MySQL and PostgreSQL)

Initial 12 month contract + extensions

Utrecht, Netherlands

Language: fluent Dutch

Able to travel to The Hague

Willingness to work on-call shifts and night work

Responsibilities:

Backup and recovery of the database;

Security;

Authentication;

Capacity planning;

Extraction, transformation, and loading of data (ETL);

Performance optimization;

Troubleshooting.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in DBA work

Knowledge in the field of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL

Understanding of simple select statements

Understanding of how indexes work

Backup and recovery of databases

Database replication

Experience working in a Linux environment

Knowledge/experience with other (non-SQL) database technologies

Knowledge/experience with data migrations

Sense of security and compliance

Some knowledge of Scrum/SAFe work.
