NES Fircroft, on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas Operator, is hiring a Decommissioning Operative based in Piddlehinton, Dorchester, with travel to Wytch Farm.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week
Contract: 12 months (high likelihood of extension)
Day Rate: Competitive

Join a dynamic Operations Support team focused on the safe and effective decontamination of plant and equipment using advanced techniques such as Ultra-High Pressure (UHP) Water Jetting, Scabbling, and Shot-Blasting. This role also involves NORM monitoring to ensure compliance for recycling or reuse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontamination of NORM-contaminated equipment
• Equipment dismantling and size reduction for safe decontamination
• Conducting pre-use checks on decontamination equipment
• Processing and packing waste for disposal
• Monitoring equipment for release and maintaining compliance

Qualifications/Skills:

• NORM Awareness training (can be provided)
• Competent with UHP water jet equipment & lifting accessories
• Physical ability to handle equipment safely
• Familiarity with Health Physics monitoring equipment
• Strong safety awareness and IT skills
