Dental Hygienist

Fryern Dental Practice is a fully private, friendly, established practice with 4 surgeries and a fantastic reputation in the area, we have a long standing team of associates delivering dental services, supported by a team of fully-trained, qualified professional support staff. The team has 4 dentists; 1 of whom has a special interest in dental implants and 1 in helping phobic and very nervous patients some of who need to be treated under sedation.

We are looking for a part time self-employed skilled Dental Hygienist to join us. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting good oral hygiene

Clinic times :
Monday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm

Key responsibilities & duties:
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
Assist in the identification of periodontal disease and other oral health issues.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and observations.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies
30 minute appointment times.
Full Nurse support.

Licence/Certification:
A suitable Dental Hygienist for this position must be GDC registered, have at least 4 years UK Dental Hygiene experience, valid indemnity insurance and right to work in the UK.

Work experience and skills:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience as a fully qualified Dental Hygienist.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
