Working 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday term time only between 8.30am - 1.30pm

Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchens across the UK. Healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all of our menus, and we are committed to the wellbeing of pupils. As a Deputy Cook, your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and cooking meals for pupils
2. Planning and controlling all aspects of the service
3. Keeping the kitchen clean & tidy
4. Costing, stocktaking and keeping appropriate records using IT skills
5. Maintaining a balanced diet and varied menus
6. Being aware of the care users' needs and dietary preferences
7. Collaborating with managers and supervisors to ensure the first-class delivery of food in school kitchens both in and outside of performance times.

Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role.
