This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our borough, working closely with our Corporate Leadership Team and directly supporting the Chief Executive.

In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic initiatives that will revolutionise our services and improve the quality of life for our residents. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring that our borough remains a great place to live, work and thrive.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

1. Lead and Inspire: Spearhead transformation projects that span across the Council, bringing your vision and expertise to life. Your leadership will inspire teams to achieve excellence and embrace change.
2. Collaborate and Integrate: Work hand-in-hand with our senior leadership team to develop and implement cohesive strategies that align with our overall goals. Your ability to integrate diverse perspectives will be key to our success.
3. Innovate and Improve: Drive a culture of innovation, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing cutting-edge solutions. Your strategic thinking will help us stay ahead of the curve and deliver exceptional services.
4. Engage and Empower: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, engaging them in our transformation journey. Your communication skills will empower others to contribute to our shared vision and drive positive change.
5. Advise and Support: Provide strategic advice and support to the Chief Executive and senior leadership team, ensuring that our initiatives are aligned with our long-term goals and community needs.
6. Track and Report: Ensure we track the delivery of transformation, improved outcomes for residents and financial efficiencies and report them openly and transparently to Public Cabinet and all of the organisation.

Candidate Profile

1. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the public sector or a similar environment, with a strong track record of delivering successful transformation projects.
2. Strategic Vision: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions that drive positive change.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
4. Commitment to Public Service: A deep commitment to public service and a passion for improving community outcomes.
