About the roleWe have a brand-new opportunity for a Design Manager to support Hoare Lea on a Healthcare project (hospital).
It's an exciting time to join our MEP team. We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to help lead the coordination and integration of Hoare Lea services with the Danish architectural and structural engineers, as well as head-client requirements. The position will require regular in-country (Denmark) presence, details to be worked out and subject to visas but initially alternating weeks.
- Act as an interface between the Hoare Lea Multi-disciplinary team and Danish architects and structural engineers, as well as the hospital client.
- Review and monitor the design programme, acting where external deadlines and information requirements are not met (HLE or 3rd Parties).
- Provide initial high-level technical input and oversight and support design conflicts efficiently. Detail to be led by discipline leads but initial early technical appraisals identifying challenges/constraints.
- Support the process of compliance with healthcare design standards, regulations, and client specifications. Lead by Cowi but requires close coordination with non-HLE designers.
- Receive requests from Cowi and the head client and liaise with the HLE UK team to enable responses.
- Proven experience managing design coordination on large-scale projects.
- Healthcare experience would be useful.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and their interface with architecture and structure.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex design issues.
