Our client is seeking a Tech Bar Engineer responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and assisting with IT-related requests. The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented, proactive, and skilled in troubleshooting a variety of IT problems.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 240 days (initially)
Pay Rate: £150/day (PLEASE NOTE: Employer NI is paid for by the client)
Total Daily Earnings: £168/day (includes rolled up holiday)
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: Worcester

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
• Assist users with account access, password resets, and multi-factor authentication setups.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT teams while maintaining communication with the user.
• Maintain an organised and efficient IT Tech Bar space.
• Educate employees on IT best practices, security guidelines, and self-service tools.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term solutions.
• Assist with new hire IT setup and onboarding.
• Support IT asset management.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices.

Soft Skills:

• Flexible approach and ability to work co-operatively within a newly created team environment
• Should be a self-starter and be able to perform quality assurance and control to create technical deliverables.
• Experience in operationally supporting large, complex technical environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
