Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Development Officer (Data and Engagement).
This is a Part Time, 6 months Fixed-Term Contract, working 18 hours a week.
The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working; you will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) and Cambridge.
Salary
National: £31,361 pro-rata
Greater London+: £34,690 pro-rata
Inner London: £36,368 pro-rata

What you will be doing
As our Development Officer (Data and Engagement), you will play an important role in supporting the development of long-term relationships with Historic England and Historic England Foundation donors, supporters, and partners.
You will update the Customer Relationship Management database (Dynamics), create and run reports, and coordinate mailouts, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection policies and legislation. You will also support with the identification and research of prospective funders (individuals, corporate sponsors, and trusts and foundations) and will support fundraisers in maintaining positive and engaged relationships with funders.
You will also support with planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse range of communications and events aimed at engaging patrons, donors, and stakeholders, including the senior leadership and commissioners of Historic England, and the trustees of the Historic England Foundation. This includes collaborating with internal teams across Historic England to ensure excellent event logistics, engaging content, and alignment with key strategic objectives.

- Experience of using a fundraising or customer relationship management database, including importing, exporting, and manipulating data
- Demonstrable experience of supporter or customer engagement through high-quality communications and events
- Ability to balance competing priorities and complete tasks to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
