Digital Project Editor

An opportunity has arisen for a Digital Project Editor to join an internationally renowned publishing company based in London. The company offer a competitive salary package and hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the London office), working amongst a supportive and friendly team.
Reporting into the Digital Product Manager, you will work flexibly within and across the company's varied and prestigious publishing portfolio, including ELT (English Language Teaching) and International Schools (Primary and Secondary) sectors to produce digital learning products which are pedagogically sound, meet given specifications and are delivered to schedule and to budget. This role will largely work on a project level, creating digital learning components that align with print courses. Projects may be for any subject area; at present, this is predominantly ELT and Humanities.
Responsibilities include:
Create and maintain digital project schedules, 'owning' schedules across multiple projects simultaneously to ensure products launch on time;
Develop and maintain close working relationships with freelance digital content creators, international colleagues, and external stakeholders;
Identify and assign project tasks to appropriate freelancers, commissioning as required;
Review digital learning assets to ensure they are produced in line with project needs, including pedagogical, cultural, and technological requirements;
Follow workflow process to standard, identifying areas to improve efficiency where relevant;
Lead digital project meetings, logging queries and actions;
Escalate risks or unclear decisions to the Digital Product Manager as needed;
Maintain clear budget tracking and compile project status updates.
The successful Digital Project Editor will have solid experience of managing digital publishing schedules, across book and digital publishing. You will have strong time management and prioritisation skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Experience working in ELT or Schools educational publishing would be an advantage, but we're also very interested to hear from experienced project managers, content production editors or applicants with similar relevant experience, who also have teaching experience and may be looking to move into this area.
