Job Description

Director
ML Community Enterprise
Full time, permanent role
London SW9
£54,500 - £62,500

ML Community Enterprise (MLCE) is Lambeth's first ever staff mutual, supporting around 400 young people each year through counselling, therapeutic work, and various developmental opportunities beyond the Marcus Lipton centre, including employment.

We primarily work with young people from local communities, including those not in employment, education, or training, young offenders, and at-risk individuals aged 12 to 19 years (and up to 25 with special needs). We also assist those active in gangs to exit gang culture.

We encourage participation from all young people, including those with disabilities, those involved in gangs, LGBT individuals, and those at risk of experiencing crime or involved in the criminal justice system, as well as those with Mental Health or Special Education Needs.

As our new Director, you will join us at a time of great success as a pioneering provider of therapeutic personal development interventions, which can spark new trajectories for young people who have experienced chaos in their lives and are most at risk of harm.

Our work has attracted interest beyond Brixton, Myatts Field, and the London Borough of Lambeth, gaining recognition across London and in other major UK cities impacted by social and racial inequity.

I hope you are inspired to join us on our journey to bring hope to young people and wider communities, fostering self-belief in their potential to thrive.
