Director - SAP Analytics

Absoft, an Applexus Company, is looking for a Director - SAP Analytics to join our team.

As a leading SAP Consultancy, we specialise in partnering with our customers to ensure we provide the very best, most innovative, and cost-effective solutions to meet the ever-changing challenges of a fast-paced business world.

Following our recent acquisition by Applexus Technologies, we are expanding our UK analytics practice and are looking for a seasoned SAP Analytics Professional to drive this growth.

A bit about the role

This is a key role, responsible for growing our SAP Analytics practice within the UK. You will bring a strong technical background in analytics solutions, combined with the ability to engage with customers, drive pre-sales activities, and shape strategic solutions that meet client needs.

You will lead and develop our UK Analytics team, working and collaborating closely with stakeholders across the global business to expand our analytics capabilities.

This role will involve leveraging the extensive analytics expertise, products and solutions available within Applexus to build and scale our UK offerings. In addition, you will play a crucial role in identifying and converting new business opportunities, engaging with both existing and prospective clients.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities of this role include:

1. Technical & Solution Leadership
   • Lead the design and implementation of analytics architecture, data modelling, and SAP analytics solutions.
   • Provide expert guidance on process reengineering and data-driven decision-making.
   • Ensure alignment of analytics solutions with client business needs and industry best practices.
   • Oversee the development and delivery of analytics projects, ensuring quality and value for clients.
2. Pre-Sales & Business Development
   • Own revenue targets, optimise profit margins, and manage budgets across designated accounts.
   • Lead pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, proposal development, and client workshops.
   • Work closely with sales teams to identify and convert new business opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects.
   • Present tailored analytics solutions to clients, demonstrating business value and impact.
   • Stimulate engagement with existing customers and expand our footprint into new markets (UK, Europe, and beyond).
3. Practice & Team Growth
   • Build and lead the UK Analytics practice, developing capabilities and expanding the team.
   • Work closely with global teams to leverage expertise and drive best practices.
   • Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
   • Contribute to the development of reusable assets (templates, frameworks, case studies) to enhance efficiency and scalability.
4. Thought Leadership & Brand Development
   • Support marketing efforts through the creation of thought leadership content, such as blogs, whitepapers, and case studies.
   • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars to enhance brand visibility.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working with SAP analytics solutions, including SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP SAC, and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of analytics architecture, data modelling, and business intelligence strategy.
• Experience in pre-sales activities, including responding to RFPs, writing proposals, and presenting solutions to clients.
• Ability to bridge the gap between technical and commercial aspects of analytics, delivering value-driven solutions.
• Strong leadership experience, with a track record of growing and managing high-performing teams.
• Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders and business leaders to drive analytics strategy.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Prior experience working in a consultancy environment is highly desirable.
