Essential Functions:

The Director of Contracts will oversee and advise contract negotiations, procurements, licensing, acquisitions, accounting related to these transactions, and ensure regulatory obligations are being met and maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive contract management strategies, ensuring alignment with organization goals and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Interpret contract terms and conditions and provide meaningful and knowledge backed advice to Summit 7 management and stakeholders regarding contracts and contract negotiations
  • Provide meaningful insights and advice to stakeholders during contract acquisitions, contract management, purchasing, and sales negotiations
  • Oversee all aspects of company contract negotiations, obligations, and implementation
  • Supervise contract execution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Develop and implement contract management policies, procedures, and best practices that enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and maximize value throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Actively seek opportunities for process improvement, staying abreast of industry trends and evolving legal requirements to enhance the overall effectiveness of the contracts management function.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers
  • Assist with the establishment and oversight of internal controls and guidelines for contracts and accounting transactions
  • Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Manage the contracts and procurement teams - hiring, performance, and time/expense management, training, staff development, and fostering a positive work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a related concentration to contracts negotiations, or related course of study
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts
  • Strong understanding of IT industry standards surrounding Microsoft technologies
  • Superior business management skills
  • US Citizenship is required with the ability to pass an extensive background check

Optional/Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in government contracts
  • Knowledge and/or certification on information audits such as ISO 27001:2013
  • 7 years of experience with accounting or accounting related duties

Work Conditions

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. The person in this position will often move about inside the office to escort visitors, deliver packages to addressee, etc. Occasionally operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and clients.
