We are now looking for a Director of Engagement, Communications & Marketing to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.
The Benefits
- Salary of £56,000 to £63,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Annual leave starting at 27 days a year, plus Bank Holidays, and increasing with service (we also close between Christmas and New Year as extra time off)

The Role
As Director of Engagement, Communications & Marketing, you ll lead the strategic direction of your directorate, amplifying our mission to protect and restore the ocean.
Shaping our brand and communications, you will spearhead bold digital campaigns that expand our reach across multiple platforms, while driving supporter engagement, increasing income, and building lasting relationships.
Beyond this, you'll also deepen our understanding of audiences, helping us connect authentically and meaningfully turning supporters into advocates and advocates into a movement for marine protection.
About You
To be considered as a Director of Engagement, Communications & Marketing, you will need:
- Proven senior leadership experience in marketing, communications, campaigns, or supporter engagement
- A track record of growing and mobilising communities, increasing engagement, and building long-term support
- A deep understanding of digital engagement, revenue building, brand development, and multi-channel campaigning
- Exceptional people leadership skills, with the ability to build a high-performing and motivated team
- A passion for ocean conservation and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all that we do
