Director of Marketing & Business Development

I am currently recruiting for a Director of Marketing & Business Development on behalf of an international law firm. This is a 12-month maternity cover position based in London, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the Marketing & Business Development team to support the firm's strategy and plans.
2. Develop and execute marketing and business development activity plans aligned with the firm's vision and values.
3. Manage client and referrer firm development efforts, including relationship management and reporting.
4. Oversee marketing and BD support for pitches and proposals, ensuring deadlines are met.
5. Lead the firm's integrated communications strategy, including digital marketing and social media.
6. Manage the firm's CRM system and client listening programmes.
7. Coordinate press and PR activities, including crisis PR.
8. Represent Marketing & BD at partner level meetings and provide expert advice.

Requirements:

1. Significant experience in building and leading a Marketing & BD function.
2. Strong team management and development skills.
3. Broad experience in marketing and business development programmes, ideally in professional services.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple competing demands.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and credibility at partnership level.
