This is an exciting time to join the University as it develops its ambitious Manchester 2035 strategy and initiates a new People Strategy. We are seeking to appoint two outstanding individuals as Directors of People Partnering. One will be assigned to our Faculty of Humanities and the other to our Professional Services & Cultural Institutions (PS & CI). As well as being a member of the People Senior leadership team, they will lead and deliver the strategic People Partnering service across their respective client areas as a member of their leadership teams.
They will lead a team of People Partners in the provision of a high quality, comprehensive and strategic partnering service, developing people plans that are aligned to Faculty/ PS&CI strategic priorities and which drive high performance and capability, thereby enabling the delivery of the change needed to support the delivery of Manchester 2035 strategy. We are seeking individuals who will bring a relentless focus on performance and service excellence with experience gained in large, complex and unionised organisations. They will be a sophisticated communicator able to enthuse, inspire and influence at all levels. They will be passionate about making a positive difference and will be open to challenge and curious to learn.
The role demands a highly credible HR professional with a track record of developing and leading respected and high performing teams that have delivered impactful, strategically aligned, change and innovation. The successful candidates will have broad People expertise with strategic business partnering experience of delivering strategic people plans in collaboration with a range of People functions and Centres of Expertise such as Talent Development and Attraction, Organisational Effectiveness, Reward, Employee Relations and Engagement. They will be degree qualified and/or a Chartered Member of the CIPD.
