Are you a visionary product management expert ready to drive innovation and excellence? The Crown Estate is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to define and implement sector-based product strategies that will transform our organisation.

Purpose of the Role: As our Director of Product, you will:

1. Define and create new product structures to deliver exceptional customer products.
2. Implement agile product methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
3. Provide market intelligence and analysis to keep us ahead of industry trends.
4. Develop a long-term vision and objectives for our product organisation.
5. Collaborate across digital and business teams to embed successful product management processes, frameworks, tools, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic and Product Ownership: Lead the creation and implementation of innovative product strategies that align with customer needs and market trends.
2. Financial Ownership: Manage product budgets, create business cases, and ensure the realisation of revenue benefits.
3. Leadership and Team Management: Build and manage a high-performing product team, coaching them in Agile and Lean practices.
4. Lifecycle Perspective: Guide products through their full lifecycle, from conception to delivery and beyond.
5. User Focus: Ensure our products meet the evolving needs of our users, applying strategic thinking to provide the best service.

Must Haves:

1. Proven track record in building products from the ground up.
2. Excellent understanding of data and its application in product strategy.
3. Experience in companies with diverse product portfolios.
4. High level of professionalism, self-driven, and a strategic thinker.
5. Ability to manage senior and lead product managers, influence stakeholders, and build effective relationships.
6. Demonstrable experience in developing and embedding a new Product Management organisation.
7. Excellent leadership and people management skills.

Nice to Haves:

1. Understanding of financials for tech, finance, and operations.
2. Experience in setting product strategy for an entire organisation.
