About Us

ALSO Space is a Brussels-based international company specialising in science communication, particularly in areas related to Earth Observation (EO). Our multinational team of digital content specialists is spread across four European countries. It serves prestigious clients such as the European Commission (EC) and the European Space Agency (ESA), mainly in the field of remote sensing and Geographical Information Systems (GIS). ALSO Space is also a recognised leader in image processing for Copernicus data visualisation and is looking to expand its team to support the EC, ESA and other top-notch clients on outreach, user uptake and communication about Copernicus, the European Union's Earth Observation initiative.


What We Are Looking For

ALSO Space is seeking an Intern in Data Visualisation who will analyse satellite imagery and remote sensing data to derive meaningful insights. Additionally, the ideal candidate will create engaging social media content that simplifies complex scientific concepts for a broader audience. The role requires strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Analyse satellite imagery and remote sensing data to extract meaningful information.
  • Draft social media posts, and other communication materials that effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to a general audience.
  • Assist with operational tasks related to satellite data analysis, processing, and dissemination activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Document procedures, workflows, and findings from data analysis.
  • Draft presentations or reports summarising findings and outcomes of projects or analyses.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework in remote sensing principles, GIS, image processing, and data analysis. Academic or research projects involving satellite imagery, remote sensing applications, or environmental monitoring.
  • Ability to distill complex technical information into accessible and compelling narratives for social media posts and campaigns.
  • Fully fluent in English and Spanish (oral and written).
