BDO UK is expanding its Economic Consulting capability. We aim to provide lasting value by advising businesses on key commercial and strategic decisions and producing expert evidence for commercial disputes. We combine microeconomic theory, logic, and analytical techniques with BDO's deep industry knowledge and broad network to deliver clear, candid, and concise advice.
As a Senior Manager, you will lead in applying economics to real-world problems, develop a new business line, and play an active role in recruitment and development. You will manage client engagements, develop proposals, and build internal and external networks.
Core Requirements
- Leadership and Intellectual Curiosity: Experienced economist with a knack for devising bespoke solutions and developing robust methods.
- Commercial Mindset: Deep understanding of the economic consulting business model, thriving in a deadline-driven environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong modelling, analytical, presentation, and writing skills.
- Consulting Skills: Excellent communicator with a track record of delivering engagements on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Experience in managing and developing staff, including mentoring, appraising, and recruiting.
- Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in a relevant economics field or significant equivalent experience and professional learning following a graduate degree.
