We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with strong technical skills to bring his/her expertise to our global company of 25K employees. You will be guided by our global brand promise, PROTECTS WHAT's GOOD.

This is an opportunity to interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions. You will be traveling 30-40% of your time to customer sites in the UK, Ireland, and North Europe as well as France & Benelux.

The purpose and responsibility of the role of an Electrical Engineer is to implement Automation Projects and Upgrades.

The job is hybrid: you will work in our office (London Paddington) and from home.
In this role, you can also expect regular (30-40% of the time) site and customer visits.

What you will do
  • Agreeing on project specifications, budgets, and timescales with clients and colleagues
  • Report to the Project Manager for project & program-related tasks including budget control, progress reports & forecasting
  • Interface with account managers and customers to assess the customer requirements and thereby create cost-effective quotations
  • Pre-project calculations and create Electrical RFQ documentation
  • Overseeing the design and manufacture of control panels and the overall electrical installation
  • Maintaining project documentation and records
  • Participate in design reviews and safety risk assessments
  • Automation Hardware Design
  • Evaluate SIL/PL level designs of safety functions & E-stop systems
  • Help break down and plan the project into phases and fulfill the plan and project milestones on time and in full according to budget
  • Understanding of ATEX and ability to competently specify electrical equipment
  • Overseas travel when required
We believe you have
  • Bachelor's degree qualification or relevant knowledge and experience of automation solutions, electrical engineering and process control
  • At least 4 years of experience with processing area automation systems required
  • Up to date, 18th Edition (British Standard BS 7671) is beneficial
  • Previous experience in the food or dairy industry is an advantage
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office is required
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to plan, delegate, and multi-task
  • High Quality-focus
  • Strong, positive oral & written communication skills both internally & with customers
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken is a must
  • Full driving licence
