The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with a dynamic team supporting a full range of Engineering, Facility Construction and requirements development services and deliverables in support of the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom (UK). 48th CES supports multiple customers as part of the United States Visiting Force (USVF) in the UK.
In this role, you will:
- Be involved in the planning of construction, quality verifications and integrated manufacturing of electrical equipment in accordance with our customer requirements.
- Be responsible for the design, develop, evaluate, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment and work with components supporting this effort.
- Focused on finding the best way to deliver electricity to devices while working on the customer site.
- Ensure electrical systems and construction are in accordance with the US design intent and will satisfactorily meet the US requirements, standards, and codes.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will have:
- Active DoD Secret Level Security clearance which requires US Citizenship.
- A High School Diploma and 7 to 10 years of working experience as an electrical engineer on a construction site on a military garrison.
- 1 to 3 years of working experience as an electrical engineer on an airfield.
- Demonstrable experience with UK and US design and construction standards.
- Demonstrable understanding applicable UK and US health and safety standards.
- The ability to travel up to 10% as requested.
- Must have a current US Passport and meet visa requirements for travel to United Kingdom countries.
- A valid US Driver's License.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Electrical Engineering Degree from a Credited University.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience as an electrical engineer with 2 years including working experience on an airfield or garrison related to the job description listed above.
- International Driving Permit (IDP) is preferred.
