Job Description - Employee Relations Case Manager (J)
Employee Relations Case Manager
Location: Remote - Commutable to Skipton
Permanent
An exciting opportunity has become available to join Computershare Loan Services UK as an Employee Relations Case Manager. Whilst this is predominantly a remote role, you will be required to travel regularly to our Skipton office, making it ideal if you are within a reasonable commuting distance.
We give you a world of potential
This is a great opportunity to join the People function, specifically within the Computershare Loan Services (CLS) business in the UK. Reporting into the ER Team Manager, you'll be working with colleagues across the UK and Ireland.
This is a standalone role offering a great amount of autonomy to allow you to take ownership and manage your own workload. You'll therefore need to be a self-starter and have a flexible approach towards your workload, being able to adapt and re-prioritise quickly.
If you are an established HR professional with significant case management experience, expert knowledge of UK Employment Law, people policies, and practices then don't miss out on this opportunity.
A role you will love
We're seeking an experienced Employee Relations Case Manager, accountable for the provision of comprehensive employee relations advice and coaching to managers. You will provide support and expertise and participate in projects to improve the offering of Employee Relations.
Addressing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including disciplinary actions, grievances, absences, maternity/paternity issues, restructures, and performance management, you'll support our People Managers and employees across our UK & Ireland operations.
Seeing through multiple ER cases from beginning to resolution, delivering clear, risk-based advice to managers throughout the process.
Other key responsibilities:
- Provide managers with support on employee concerns to ensure matters are resolved quickly and effectively and in compliance with the relevant CPU policies.
- Ensure cases are escalated and referred to the relevant teams where matters are highly complex, or involve high risk, in line with agreed escalation matrices.
- Maintain integrity of records and documentation required for employee relations issues.
- Partner with the legal department and external advisors to solve complex ER issues and keep abreast of the changing legal landscape to ensure these are effectively implemented into company policies and procedures.
- Identify themes and trends in order to provide training and upskilling to our managers across our business units.
- Produce and analyse ER related data, identifying solutions as necessary and contribute to related People Team and business-oriented projects, providing ER subject matter expertise.
- Provide or ensure delivery of specialist advice and coaching to managers and employees to implement Employee Relations processes and policies, ensuring there is alignment across the organisation and that jurisdictional compliance is ensured with all advice provided.
- Provide advice and input into wider People policies, including where there is local variance.
What will you bring to the role?
We'd expect you to have a strong working knowledge of People policies and practices, especially employment law and regulatory impacts with prior experience operating across the UK.
Passion and dedication are key to this role, as will be the ability to coach and upskill our managers, with a focus on fantastic customer service at all times.
You will be able to impart your knowledge but also further hone your skill set and develop yourself further, through the variety of work the role supports.
What else are we looking for?
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in written format.
- Strong ethics and values, identifying with and strongly aligning to our culture.
- Successfully established and developed strong, trust-based relationships at all levels, through strong presence, gravitas, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to work within remote teams and work collaboratively within a global environment.
- Good knowledge of how a sizeable, commercial organisation works.
- Experienced at working to tight deadlines and meeting or exceeding SLAs.
- Highly organised with a methodical approach and an eye for detail.
It would be ideal if you were readily available.
