Real Estate Lawyer (Residential Enfranchisement) - London - 12 month fixed term contract - Part time


A leading international firm is looking for a talented junior Real Estate lawyer to join their specialist Residential Estates team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the other side of top City and West End practices, dealing with high quality work and fantastic client base.

With one of the UK's largest real estate teams, they have the resources and expertise to respond to the fast-paced real estate market. The team acts for many landed estates, charities and property investment companies who require all manner of asset management and landlord and tenant legal services. They are now looking for a talented real estate solicitor with enfranchisement experience to join their specialist team.


Responsibilities:
  1. Drafting and negotiating leases
  2. Dealing with statutory lease extension claims under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993
  3. Drafting and advising on residential tenancies including assured shorthold tenancies and familiarity with the Tenant Fees Act 2019
  4. Dealing with sales and purchases and refinance of residential and mixed use property
  5. Dealing with licences to alter, licences to assign and deeds of variation
  6. An understanding of rights of first refusal under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 desirable but not essential
  7. Dealing with collective enfranchisement claims desirable but not essential
  8. Some experience of Assured Shorthold Tenancy is desirable but not essential
